Amnezia Premium Personal Dashboard

General Information

The Personal Dashboard is available to any user who has paid for an Amnezia Premium subscription or received a trial Premium subscription.

You can purchase a Premium subscription on our website. To try Amnezia Premium for free, write to our Telegram chat or email support@amnezia.org. Say you want a trial Premium period and provide your email; you’ll receive a message with a Subscription Key for the AmneziaVPN app. The paid and trial versions of the Premium subscription are identical in functionality.

If you have a legacy subscription (a separate key for different locations), to access the Personal Dashboard first migrate to the new subscription type using this guide.

What you can do in the Personal Dashboard:

At the end of this guide you’ll find answers to the most common questions our users ask support.

To sign in to the Personal Dashboard, use either link:

You sign in with the vpn:// Subscription Key you receive in an email after paying for Premium or getting a trial period.

The Personal Dashboard is available in English and Russian. To change the language, click the icon in the top right. To quickly paste the Subscription Key copied from the email, click the icon to the right of the input field.

Subscription Details

The subscription info shows not only its status but also the exact end date in your device’s time zone.

Subscription Keys and configuration files will stop working within 24 hours after the subscription end date.

Active connections are the total of generated configuration files and devices that have a connection created using the vpn:// Subscription Key.

If you have 2 of 7 active connections but only one active device, it means you generated 1 configuration file.

The maximum number of active connections is 7. One active Premium subscription lets you connect 7 devices using a key or generate 7 configuration files.

You can combine key-based connections and generated configuration files in any way. However, once you reach the limit of 7 active connections, you won’t be able to generate a new configuration file or connect a new device via key — you’ll need to unlink an active device or revoke a generated configuration file.

If you need more than 7 active connections, purchase another subscription on our website.

The subscription period may match the paid term (184 or 365 days) or exceed it if you extend the subscription.

You can extend your current subscription at any time by purchasing a new subscription and writing to support. We recommend extending during promotions announced in our Telegram channel. Sometimes the discount can be up to 100%.

Connection Assets

The Personal Dashboard is the second (after the order email) and last place where your vpn:// Subscription Key is stored. This key grants full access to the subscription — do not allow it to leak.

If the key is compromised, write to our Telegram chat or email support@amnezia.org — we’ll replace the key.

There are three ways to share the key so you can use it to connect in AmneziaVPN:

  1. Copy the key text to paste it in AmneziaVPN.
  2. Save the key text to a .vpn file to create a connection from a file.
  3. Display a QR code on screen to scan it from another device.

Active Devices

This section lists all devices where a connection was created and established using the vpn:// key.

You can distinguish devices not only by OS name but also by a unique identifier called the Support tag. To show the Support tag on a device, tap ➕ (plus) on the bottom bar in AmneziaVPN → “” (three dots) in the top right.

When you might need to unlink a device:

  1. After reinstalling AmneziaVPN on a device, the Support tag changed — the previous identifier no longer exists but still occupies an active device slot.
  2. You used AmneziaVPN on your iOS device and also installed DefaultVPN; your iPhone now takes 2 device slots.
  3. You no longer use the device or lost access to it.
  4. You shared the Subscription Key with someone but changed your mind and want to revoke access.

If you unlink a device in the Personal Dashboard but do not remove the Amnezia Premium connection on the device, within the next 24 hours the device may reappear in the Personal Dashboard and keep occupying 1 active-connection slot. This will not happen if, after revoking access, you fully fill the active connections limit — in that case the device will not be able to connect until a slot becomes available again.

To permanently revoke access on a device, open AmneziaVPN on it → ⚙️ (gear) on the bottom bar → ServersAmnezia PremiumUnlink this deviceRemove from application.

Configuration Files

A configuration file is a .conf file that contains everything needed to connect to a VPN server via the AmneziaWG protocol, including the vpn:// Subscription Key.

You’ll need a configuration file if you want to set up a VPN connection on a router, create a connection in the AmneziaWG app, or share VPN access with another person so that it can be easily revoked at any time.

Before sharing a configuration file, we recommend removing the vpn:// Subscription Key from the file to prevent leakage.

To generate a configuration file, choose your preferred location → click the 📥 icon to the right of the location name → download the file to a place where you can easily find it.

Each generated configuration file occupies 1 slot in the active connections limit.

To regenerate or revoke a previously generated configuration file, click the “” (three dots) icon to the right of the location name. In these cases, the old configuration file will stop working within 24 hours.

If you have a problem connecting via a configuration file, check the Personal Dashboard for a notification warning that you need to regenerate the configuration file. This can happen if we made critical changes to the server parameters you connect to.

Revoke a configuration file if you don’t use it; if you need to free a slot to connect a new device via key; or if you want to revoke VPN access from someone you shared the file with.

FAQ

How can I access the Personal Dashboard?

Buy a subscription on our website or request a trial Premium subscription from support:

Why do I get the “Invalid key” error when signing in to the Personal Dashboard?
  1. You didn’t copy the Subscription Key in full.
  2. Your Subscription Key does not start with vpn://.
  3. You’re using an Amnezia Free key — it looks the same as a Premium key.

If all of the above are excluded, write to our Telegram chat or email support@amnezia.org — we’ll help figure it out.

What if I can’t find my Subscription Key?

Write to our Telegram chat or email support@amnezia.org — say you lost your key and provide the email used for payment. If the email is correct, we’ll send the key in a reply.

Will I be unable to connect to the VPN as soon as my subscription ends?

No. Connections continue working for 24 hours after the subscription ends.

Why didn’t my current subscription extend after I bought a new one?

By default, subscriptions coexist separately. If you want to use the new subscription to extend your current one, write to our Telegram chat or email support@amnezia.org — within 1–2 days we’ll merge the subscriptions.

Why do I have "X" active connections if I only connected "Y" devices?

The reason is "N" generated configuration files. Revoke them, and the number of active connections will decrease.

Why do I get “Maximum config limit reached” if I didn’t generate any configuration files?

This error occurs when you already have 7 active connections. Unlink an active device to free up the active connections limit.

Why did a device reappear in my Personal Dashboard after I unlinked it?

The connection remains on the device. Remove the connection in the app on the device and unlink it again in the Personal Dashboard. Or unlink the device and remove the connection from the app.

How do I get/revoke/regenerate a configuration file?

Click the icon to the right of the location name in the “Configuration files” section.

How can I connect more than 7 devices?
  1. Buy an additional subscription on our website.
  2. Set up a VPN connection on a Keenetic or OpenWrt router — the subscription doesn’t limit how many devices can connect to a router with VPN configured.
  3. Use one configuration file to create a connection on devices that won’t connect to the VPN simultaneously. The VPN connection will be highly unstable on devices connected simultaneously via the same configuration file.
Can I connect 7 routers to one location at the same time?

Yes, but you’ll need to buy 7 subscriptions. You can generate only 1 configuration file per any location.

Can I use the Subscription Key to connect to a location that already has a configuration file generated?

Yes. The location of a generated configuration file does not affect key-based connections.

Can I connect 7 devices to the same location via Subscription Key?

Yes. We don’t limit concurrent key-based connections to the same location.

How do I connect to the VPN on a router/smartphone/computer/laptop/tablet?

Connection instructions are available in the Personal Dashboard (mirror).
